Based on centuries old family tradition in the field of metal working,  F.G.S.  has been founded in 1952 for the specialized production of heat-resisting castings.  

     Today the modern production and control facilities located in four plants all around Treviglio, a few miles from the Milano Linate Airport, allow F.G.S. to supply castings and components for high-temperature service, which are produced in a wide range of standard and proprietary Iron-, Nickel- and Cobalt- base alloys, fully machined, assembled, tested and made ready for installation.

     The performance and the life of heat resisting castings depend mainly on the right selection of a suitable alloy, on its metallurgical quality and on the proper design of the cast pieces.

     F.G.S.'s long expertise makes it possible to study and propose innovative solutions to many deign or maintenance problems. This service capability and the many successful achievements, have made F.G.S. well known among users of heat-resisting castings. Castings and furnace parts produced by F.G.S. are exported to more than 40 countries around the world.

     F.G.S. is a member of the American Steel Founders' Society and produces special cast alloys under various licenses and their own patents.
